Order Ready for Brody!

Someone contacted me and asked me to make a lovey for Brody. I think this turned out darling and I sure hope he loves it! Ok, I know I am not the best photographer in the world but its cuter in person! I love making this elephant!

Three Little Lovies!

I got to make three of these for one person! The whole time I was making them, I was trying to imagine who they were going to! I bet they are some sweet babies, with names like Wyatt and Heather. The last one has no name so I am assuming its an unborn child :) How fun! I hope these moms and their babies like them!

Ok, Faith here it is in its entirety! Please remind mom that her rag quilt will continue to "rag" the next few washed. Dry on LOW heat. Those minky dots need to stay soft. Enjoy! Here is your blanket, lovey and washcloths.

A Rag Quilt

So I have been working on this set, that is to be given as a gift and wanted to post some preliminary photos. This blanket is a large rag quilt. Perfect for babies to use on the floor for tummy time! The lovey, which will be 16X16 will use the minky dot fabric on the back, I havent decided, but am leaning towards the white on the front with the flannel polka dots as the elephant appliqué, same Racine Bean embroidery as is on the blanket (because I love this font!). Then the washcloths are going to be the green and white polka dot fabric also. Let me know what you think (or even if you have this blanket. I can do the whole front in one color and the back in another!) mind you, I still need to trim up some thread and also, photo number two, the blanket is folded in half!

Finished Liam's Lovie

Finished a lovie for Liam yesterday and shipped today. Its adorable and hand sized for him to hold because babies love Tactile stimulation and this is perfect for him! Liam's name was done in my new Walt font! I love it, and sure hope his mommy does too! I left one of the blue knotted ones a little longer to hook links on!

Open House

So I am planning and preparing all day today for an open house for my shop this evening. Its exciting but making me nervous. I am too critical of my products! I am going through my stock and picking and choosing what to bring. I made a slide show of my products on my computer to have running while I stand at my "booth". My favorite thing of the day though is my gift cards! I was asked to put something in a raffle fundraiser for a guidance councilor at a local school, she is battling cancer and all the proceeds of the raffle will go to her family. So I put in a 25$ credit to my store. I wanted to be able to give them something so I created this! And I am soooo excited about it and how cute it turned out I started putting them in my etsy store. Would love your feedback ladies!

My best sellers are shabby rose burp cloths I have sold 8 sets and the fabric is almost 7? years old and has been part of my stash! I am almost out of it and it breaks my heart. So I have been trying to come up with a new trio for my store. Although I have had this fabric for a few years also I can make a handful of these! What do y'all think?

My mother in law:

There is no one in this world I treasure more than my mother in law (outside my husband and children that is). I think they broke the mold when Lennie was born. She is one of the most amazing people I have ever met and I think I am one of the luckiest daughter in laws in the world.  That being said, I know she was dieing to order something from my store. But being that the babies she would buy for are mine, it was hard. When she saw the diaper wipe case I had made for my little guy, she jumped on it. Not only did she want to carry wipes in her purse for any cleanup, she can use it for pens, pencils, change, lip gloss and cash. Her favorite color is purple. My daughter and I created this one for my mother in law to purchase :)

Fun with burp cloths!

So its spring break here in our home. I have been working like crazy in the shop and still trying to make time to entertain the kids! A moms work is never done! Today we finished up burp cloths for a a sweet baby named Amelia, I sure hope she loves them, or at least her mama does. And we finished up a hand held lovie for Miller. I cant wait to watch him play with it via his moms blog! I sadly didnt get photos of Millers taggie, but I know his mom will and we will see them! I did get Amelia's burp cloths photographed!
